Essential Sports Massage

Four-Day Diploma training course in Essential Sports massage  (Plus home study)

This course will be taken by one of our senior tutors.

This four day course comprises:

Two days to learn theory, the routine and practice technique

Third day to review theory and techniques plus 1 to 1 practice time

Fourth day for assessment

20 hours of case studies i.e. treat 4 people 5 times, or 5 people 4 times.

(Students have 6 months from initial training date to complete case studies and assessment)

The first two days of this 4 day course covers massage techniques for Pre-Sport and Post-Sport Massage. Based on the classic techniques of Swedish massage, you will learn the equivalent of warming-up and cooling-down of the muscles essential to the needs of sports people in order to enable them to perform in the best possible way. This includes:

The fourth day will also be assessment day.

Please note – This is a post graduate course for sports professionals, body workers, holistic therapists etc. Therefore you will require a pre-requisite of Swedish Massage course, or similar full-body Massage, or alternatively be a sports trainer or personal trainer prior to taking this course. A qualification in Anatomy & Physiology is also required.  If you do not have these yet, please contact for advice
